Recently, we went to visit our new Power Steering Brand Ambassador for TransTec UK. Located in the heart of England, Coventry Power Steering (CPS) are a dedicated customer of TransTec and fully support our brand values. We share similar views on quality and other topics within the Power Steering industry. As a UK Brand Ambassador, they have introduced our TransTec logo to their work uniforms. They continue to promote our brand throughout their workshop and to their own customers too. During our visit we discussed their business needs, requirements, and talked about what TransTec can do to support them further. The manager at CPS, Pete Bennett, told us about the history of the company, their team, and their vision for the future.
Can you tell me about Coventry Power Steering (CPS) and your team?
The CPS staff have a combined experience of over 100 years and a wealth of knowledge within the Power Steering industry. We remanufacture all types of Racks, Pumps and Boxes. Our goal is to introduce an Electric Power Steering range at CPS and to invest in the future of the company. We aim to be one of the best remanufacturers in the UK. We have extremely high-quality standards and teach all our staff to build every product like it is being installed to their own vehicles.
What benefits does TransTec product provide you as a rebuilder, and what else can TransTec offer to improve our product portfolio?
OE quality products offered by TransTec provides us with an added reassurance of the quality used within our own finished products. A comprehensive product offering makes purchasing decisions easy and straight forward. We would like to see better access to hard parts, such as internal Pump components. This would help us salvage more cores and keep original parts in our own product range.
Why do you choose TransTec as your main parts supplier and how would you rate our service?
We choose TransTec over most competitors because TransTec offer us OE or OE equivalent parts and share our views on quality remanufacturing. They are competitive on pricing and are conveniently located for CPS. Being local to the Midlands, means that we can collect goods and usually receive a next day service on most items. The service provided through TransTec Customer and Technical Services is great. They are always prepared to help and support, find solutions to problems, and identify parts.
